We believe in the writer’s voice.
The publishing industry was not built for new voices. We were built for them.
Every year, thousands of talented writers begin a manuscript and never finish it. Of those who finish, most never find a publisher willing to take a chance on a name no one yet recognises. Traditional publishing houses concentrate on proven authors and celebrity memoirs. Self-publishing platforms hand the writer the keys to every door, and ask them to become editor, designer, marketer, and distributor overnight.
Between those two worlds is a vast quiet — a generation of meaningful books that never reach the readers who would value them. The Author Foundry exists in that quiet. We are building a publishing partner that invests in new writers editorially and operationally, sharing risk and reward, so the writer can focus on the only thing that truly matters: the work.
We are not a traditional publishing house with decades of pedigree to lean on. We are creators and readers who care deeply about books and the people who write them — and we bring in editorial and craft expertise where it matters most.

Garima Rai founded The Author Foundry from a belief that meaningful voices shouldn't have to navigate the journey from idea to publication alone, bringing her experience in building brands and communities to that purpose. She believes that when the right support meets the right story, extraordinary books can find their way into the world.
